TAHI CICAK : An Exhibition of Black&White Photography Showcasing Traditional Silver Prints

Before the age of the digital revolutions, there was FILM. In the modern era, everyone is a photographer, just snap and upload. The delicate and precise methods of Film Processing that requires specific skills has been underrated and soon will be forgotten. Or so they thought.A new breed of photographers brings you a combination of modern generation perspective using the medium of the old school historical film photography. Tahi Cicak Exhibition is a showcase of these style of photography, using the old and the new into one. The exhibition will comprise a group of photographer including:

In the early days of photography, photographers had no choice but to shoot in black and white, as it was the only available medium. Then, in 1936, the invention of kodachrome gave colour photography to the world. But black and white photography didn’t die off, instead it flourished. Modern black and white photography at it’s best is art, and many photographers regard it as the purest form of photography.

 Dedicated to their artwork and the originality, they only capture the essence of life and they beauty in modern day lifestyle to express the truth and allows the viewers to open their eyes to the minuscules details of life. They will also provide a lesson from their experience to anyone eagerly wished to learn the methods of Film Processing.
